The High Elves have joined the fray -- they've sent their trusted advanced Guard: The Warriors of the Dawn.  The core of the Army is lead by Estela'tel Quessir (lit. Hope of the People), an experienced Commander of many campaigns.  The Phoenix Guard have dispatched a small contingent to aide her, while she awaits the arrival of the White Lions (the King has seen fit to allow the army the use of his personal guard for this campaign).  Estela, hailing from Caledor has the heart of a Warrior, leading her army from the front...

After a few weeks of battling, Estela'tel Quessir has amased a solid reputation on the battle field and has attracted more High Elves to her cause.  The King is satisfied with his choice of general for the army and continues to provide support.  The Phoenix Guard, for reasons of their own have decided to move on from the army, but with the addition of a mighty Lion Chariot of Chrace, and some additional spearmen, the army has continued to prosper. Requests have been made to local lords and the King for additional resources, which will hopefully arrive in the coming weeks.

After much time in the field and many victories, Estela'tel Quessir, ventured to the the mountains of Caledor to sing the song of awakening for one of the great Star Dragons.  She knew that many of the armies she had faced would be getting reinforcements and knew she'd need the power of the Dragon to assist her army against the horrors that were soon to face Otharen'tel Anoron.  The King, satisfied that she had been running the campaign satisfactorily to this point, sent one of his most trusted Captains to assist the army in her absense.  Thus, Korhil joined the army on his mighty Lion Chariot.  With him, arrived a unit of Shadow Warriors who had been tracking other enemies, but decided to join the host for the time being.  During her absense, Korhil accounted for several victories, but met up with a Lizardmen force with 2 Ancient Stegadons in the vanguard.  Against such a host, the High Elves could only hope to hold the line and not suffer too greatly.  Alas, the Lizardmen gained ground and the High Elves had to engage in tactical retreats.  They were able to prevent incursions by other armies, but had no answer for the new Lizardmen force rampaging across the land.  Thankfully, the Lizardmen army moved slowly, so didn't gain much ground.

After only a few months of singing the song of awakening, Estela returned on the back of a mighty Star Dragon.  The Elven host was amazed at her return, for they feared it would be centuries before they saw her again.  The presence of Estela immediately lifted moral, as did the presence of such a magnificent and powerful creature.  Their spirits were to be lifted again, as they were able to drive off the marauding Lizardmen army with the Dragon inflicted massive casualties against the mighty Ancient Stegadons.  Alas, the Elven host was unable to capture the Engine of the Gods from the Lizardmen, but more battles are to come.
